Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to common questions about MyEleven. See How it works for a step-by-step guide, or create your lineup.
What is MyEleven?
MyEleven is a free web app for building football lineups. You pick a formation, add players (from search or as custom players), arrange them on the pitch, then share a link or export an image.
Is it free?
Yes. MyEleven is free to use. There are no accounts or subscriptions. Your lineup is stored when you share it (so the link works), and you can also keep a draft in your browser.
How do I share a lineup?
Click “Share” in the editor. Your lineup is saved and you get a unique link (e.g. myeleven.app/l/abc12345). Send that link to anyone; they’ll see a read-only view of your XI, formation, bench, and squad.
Can I add my own players?
Yes. Use “Add player” to create custom players with a name, number, and position. They’re added to your squad and you can place them on the pitch like any other player. Handy for fantasy XIs or when you don’t need real-player search.
What formations are available?
The formation picker includes common shapes (e.g. 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 3-5-2). You can also move the empty slots (or players) on the pitch to create custom shapes; the app detects and displays the resulting formation.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. MyEleven works in the browser on phones and tablets. On mobile, a tap-to-place system replaces drag-and-drop: tap a player to select them, then tap a position on the pitch to place them. You can also tap an empty slot first, then pick a player to fill it. A floating selection banner keeps you informed of what's selected.
On desktop, the traditional drag-and-drop interaction is used.
Where is my data stored?
When you share a lineup, the lineup data (formation, players, bench, squad) is stored so the share link works. If you don’t share, a draft can be kept in your browser only (localStorage). For more on data and cookies, see our Privacy policy.
